Symptom
In Australia GST Calculation Sheet for BAS report where multiple company codes are assigned to a single reporting entity, the Tax Registration Number (TRN) displayed is always that of the leading company code, regardless of the company code selected for the run.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Maintain a reporting entity for Australia with at least two company codes (for example, AU01 and AU02), and set one as the leading company code.
- Run the AU_VAT_DC (Australia GST Calculation Sheet for BAS) report for the leading company code.
- Observe that the TRN displayed corresponds to the leading company code.
- Run the AU_VAT_DC report for the non-leading company code.
- Observe that the TRN displayed is still the leading company code’s TRN instead of the selected company code’s TRN.
Cause
Report behavior is by design: Australia GST Calculation Sheet for BAS report takes the Tax Registration Number from the leading organizational unit of the reporting entity; therefore, when multiple company codes exist under one entity, the TRN displayed is that of the Leading Company Code regardless of the selected company code.
Resolution
- Create a separate reporting entity for each company code.
- In SSCUI "Setting up your statutory reporting" set the corresponding company code as the leading organizational unit for its reporting entity.
- Run the statutory report for each reporting entity so the output reflects the TRN of the intended company code.
