3800054 - Alternate Item Group in Phantom Assembly BOM Not Considering Usage Probability During MRP Run

Symptom

When running MRP (T-code: MD01N or MD01/MD02), you have configured an Alternate Item Group (STPO-ALPGR) with usage probabilities (STPO-EWAHR) for components inside a Phantom Assembly BOM.

For example:

  • Component A: Strategy 1, Usage Probability 60%
  • Component B: Strategy 1, Usage Probability 40%

Expected behavior: Component A receives 60% of the demand quantity, Component B receives 40%.

Observed behavior: Both Component A and Component B each receive the full demand quantity (e.g., both show quantity = 1).

The same behavior is observed in both MRP Live and Classic MRP.
