3800063 - Location Dimension Calculation Views deployed from SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) are not visible in the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Location Dimension selection list

After creating and deploying Location Dimension Calculation Views in SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), some of the deployed views cannot be found when configuring a Location Dimension in a SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Live Data Model.

The issue may manifest as follows:

• The Calculation View is successfully created and deployed in BAS.
• The Calculation View can be returned by the SAP HANA Cloud InA Catalog metadata response.
• No authorization or deployment errors are observed.
• Only some Location Dimension Calculation Views are visible in the SAC Location Dimension selection dialog.
• Other Calculation Views with similar definitions are not displayed and cannot be selected as Location Dimensions.
• Searching for the affected Calculation View name in the SAC Location Dimension selection dialog returns no result.

1. In SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), create a Calculation View intended to be used as a Location Dimension.
2. Deploy the Calculation View to SAP HANA Cloud.
3. Verify that the Calculation View is available in the HANA catalog and can be retrieved through InA metadata requests.
4. Create or edit a Live Data Model in SAP Analytics Cloud.
5. Open the Location Dimension configuration dialog.
6. Search for the deployed Calculation View in the Location Dimension selection list.
7. Observe that some deployed Location Dimension Calculation Views are not displayed in the SAC selection list although they exist in HANA and are returned by the backend catalog metadata response.
