3800093 - Sybase ASE Backup Server ignores configured ssl_version at startup; TLS 1.0/1.1 accepted when TLSv1.2 is set

Symptom

  • Backup Server accepts TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 connections even when ssl_version=TLSv1.2 is configured (via config file or set ssl_version command).
  • The configured TLS minimum version is not enforced by the Backup Server at startup.
  • TLS restriction settings for the Backup Server appear to have no effect.
  • Other components (ASE, RMA, SRS) enforce the configured TLS minimum version as expected.
