3800094 - Remote connection to IQ db fails after SAP kernel upgrade – SAP IQ

Symptom

  • After upgrading SAP Kernel and libbsl, the remote connections from the ERP application server to SAP IQ db stopped working.

  • Error messages: 
    C  Driver: SAP IQ Driver release: 17.xxx
    C  dbs/syb/cache_size: xxx
    C  Error: IQ property charset set to ****, expected is: CESU-8.  
    C  Error: IQ property collation set to ****, expected is: CESU8BIN.  
    C  incorrect settings for IQ server properties detected.
    C  checkIQCodepage failed. Connect terminated.
    B  ***LOG BY2=> sql error 0 performing CON [dbds         xxxx]
    B  ***LOG BY0=> <message text not available> [dbds        xxxx]
