3800230 - CSV File Format Error While Uploading PIRs in Maintain PIRs App

Symptom

When attempting to upload Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs) using the Maintain PIRsapp, the upload process fails and the system displays the following error message:

"The uploaded file is not in the correct format. Upload the correct CSV file."

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Maintain PIRs app.
  2. Select the relevant planning parameters, such as Material, Plant, MRP Area, etc.
  3. Click the Upload PIRs function.
  4. Select the previously used PIRs upload CSV file.
  5. Start the upload.
  6. The system performs the file format validation.
  7. The upload fails with the message:"The uploaded file is not in the correct format. Upload the correct CSV file."

Cause

With the 2608 Main Release, the file upload functionality in the Maintain PIRs app was enhanced and the validation rules for the CSV upload format were changed.

The uploaded file must now contain 

  • 52 consecutive weekly periods,
  • 12 consecutive monthly periods.

Resolution

Use the updated 2608 PIR upload template and ensure that the CSV contains either 52 consecutive weekly columns or 12 consecutive monthly columns. The time periods must be consecutive and follow the format expected by the application.
