3800243 - Hana Cockpit 2.18.8 Upgrade fails during XSA Component staging with 503 and XML unmarshalling Error

Symptom

  • hdblcm terminates while updating hana cockpit components to version 2.18.8
  • Error staging application "cockpit-persistence-svc" or "cockpit-hdb-svc".
  • Controller operation failed: 
    503 Service Unavailable: Could not get recent logs of application (Operation is not available).
    [Fatal Error]: The character reference must end with the ';' delimiter.
    Exception: An unexpected error occurred while unmarshalling the XML content.
  • Upgrade appears stuck at "Stopping application ..." before failing.
