3800306 - Business Partner name change not reflected in Trading Partner Number in Manage Customer/Supplier Master Data app - S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

After updating a business partner’s name, it is not reflected in the Trading Partner Number in Customer Information and Supplier Information for the linked customer (FLCU00/FLCU01) and supplier (FLVN00/FLVN01) roles in the Manage Customer/Supplier Master Data apps.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open a Business Partner in the Manage Business Partner app.
2. Click Edit and change the name of the Business Partner.
3. Click Save.
-> The Trading Partner Number remains unchanged in the Manage Customer/Supplier Master Data apps

The name of the Business Partner is not linked to the Trading Partner Number information, it is related to Company Code.

• The Trading Partner Number consists of a name and a number in brackets (e.g. "My Company (DE01)").
• Maintain the naming of the Trading Partner Number using SSCUI 106040 (Create Company) with modifying the “Company name” field as desired.
