3800442 - Error "The manager for user does not exist or was not yet hired" During New Hire Data Review

• The customer encounters an error while performing New Hire Data Review during the onboarding process.
• The following error message is displayed: "The manager (xxxxx) for user xxx does not exist or was not yet hired as of xx/xx/xxxx."
• The error prevents the New Hire Data Review from being completed successfully for the affected onboardee.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

• The issue occurs because no valid Job Information record is available for the manager as of the relevant effective date.
• The error occurs when the system is unable to validate the assigned manager's employment status or effective-dated information as of the new hire's relevant date. 
• For an employee to be assigned as a manager for a candidate, the manager must have a valid and active Job Information time slice effective on the date when the manager relationship is evaluated.
• If the manager does not have a Job Information record, or if the applicable time slice is not active/effective as of the relevant date, the system cannot validate the employee as an eligible manager.
• As a result, the system displays the error indicating that the manager does not exist or was not yet hired as of the specified date.

• Ensure that the manager has a valid Job Information record maintained in the system.
• Verify that the Job Information record has an active and applicable effective-dated time slice for the date on which the employee is being assigned as the manager.
• If the Job Information record is missing, create the appropriate record with the correct effective date and relevant employment details.
• Once the manager's Job Information record is correctly maintained, retry the New Hire Data Review. The review should then be completed successfully without the manager validation error.
