3800511 - Read-only Quote Item Custom Fields becomes editable

Symptom

  • When a dropdown field in the cart is opened and Esc is pressed to discard changes, all read-only Quote Item Custom Fields become visually editable in the UI
  • Fields that appear editable cannot be saved; the issue is limited to presentation only.

Environment

SAP CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

To reproduce, it is needed to have Quote Item Custom Field as read-only within a Quote and another defined as dropdown.

  1. If there is any UI and Scripting, disable them in Developer Console
  2. Open a quote
  3. Open Quote Item Custom Field which is dropdown
  4. Without selecting any, press ESC
  5. Page will reload and all Quote Item Custom Field which are read-only will show as editable.

Cause

This is a bug in the application.

Resolution

  • Workaround is to refresh page or reopen quote
  • Currently, there is no fix version defined, please follow this KBA for more information.
