Symptom
After replicating a BW hierarchy into Datasphere, the Datasphere Analysis Model that includes this hierarchy does not display the posted node as shown in BW RSRT:
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP Datasphere
Reproducing the Issue
- In Datasphere:
- Navigate to the Analytic Model preview mode.
- Select a dimension that uses a hierarchy and select a measure.
- Apply the relevant hierarchy for the selected dimension.
- Expand a parent node that is also postable and observe that the node is not listed again as a separate child leaf.
- In BW:
- Execute the transaction RSRT.
- Run the corresponding BW query and enable the setting "Display Posted Node":
- Expand the same hierarchy node and observe that BW shows the node twice: once as the structural parent and once as a posted leaf.
Cause
This is by design.
Resolution
Currently, posted hierarchy nodes are not supported in Datasphere.
