Unit conversion is maintained, but when the purchase order uses an order price unit that differs from the condition unit in the pricing condition record, no conversion occurs and the price is incorrect.

1. Maintain a pricing condition record using mek1 with a specific condition unit (visible in mek3).
2. Create or display a purchase order (for example, via me21n/me22n/me23n) where the order price unit (field BPRME) is different from the condition unit (field KMEIN) used in the condition record.
3. Ensure a standard unit-of-measure conversion exists between the purchase order’s order unit (field MEINS) and the order price unit.
4. Update pricing in the purchase order and observe that the system does not convert between the condition unit and the order price unit.

The purchase order’s unit conversion logic evaluates conversion between order unit (MEINS) and order price unit (BPRME) only. It does not evaluate or convert when the condition unit (KMEIN) differs from the purchase order price unit, leading to a mismatch and incorrect pricing.

Option A: Maintain the Order Price Unit of the MEK2 condition as the Condition Unit

• The Order Price Unit in the PO should be set to match the Condition Unit
• The system will automatically handle the conversion between the PO Order Unit and the Order Price Unit using the unit conversion maintained in MARM
• This is the approach that has been verified to be working correctly and is therefore recommended

Option B: If a different Order Price Unit is preferred, the condition amount must be manually converted and maintained accordingly

• The equivalent condition amount based on the desired Order Price Unit should be calculated and maintained directly in MEK2
• Since BPRME and the condition amount are maintained under the same unit, consistency is ensured, and the PO price will be correct
