3800893 - Duplicate/Incomplete Employee Profiles Displayed in Search After New Hire Workflow Error

• After an error occurs during a New Hire Workflow approval process, multiple duplicate or inactive employee profiles may appear in employee search results
  
  
• When selecting one of the duplicate profiles, the profile may open as a blank page without employee data. The correct employee profile remains available and functions as expected.
  
  
• The behavior may also be observed when searching for the employee in Manage Workflow Requests search action, where multiple profiles are displayed for the same employee.
  
  
• Even without a workflow, multiple records is created and also when saving as a draft multiple record may be created 

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Initiate a New Hire Workflow for an employee.
2. During workflow approval, encounter an error that prevents the transaction from completing successfully.
3. Submit the workflow while the error condition is present.
4. Search for the affected employee.
5. Observe that multiple duplicate or inactive profiles may be displayed in the search results.
6. Open one of the duplicate profiles.
7. Observe that the profile opens as a blank page with no employee data.
8. Open the latest/correct employee profile.
9. Observe that the correct profile loads successfully and functions normally.

Engineering Team has resolved issue and it has been patched. you should not face this issue now.

Workaround:

• Please go to 'Company System and Logo Settings' and check if you are using the new enhanced people search.If Yes, then you can run the "Rebuild Company Index for Enhanced People Search" job in Admin Center -> Scheduled Job Manager.The KBA and help portal sections below have more details:

• Engineering is reviewing the relationship between New Hire Workflow processing and employee search profile generation to determine why incomplete profiles may remain visible following a failed transaction.
