3800983 - Error: 'Ocean Freight Booking is not ready to execution. The cargo is not assigned to a container' - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

The error message is displayed when the user attempts to edit the Freight Booking to "Set to Ready for Transportation Execution".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access Manage Ocean Freight Bookings app.
  2. Inform Freight Booking number.
  3. Click GO button.
  4. Click EDIT button.
  5. Click Menu Execution Status > Set to Ready for Transportation Execution”.
  6. Error message is displayed.

Cause

  • Voyage, Vessel and Container number fields are empty.
  • Freight Unit was not assigned into the container (Freight Unit is wrong in the same level of container in items tab).

Resolution

  1. Access Manage Ocean Freight Bookings app.
  2. Inform Freight Booking number.
  3. Click GO button.
  4. Click EDIT button.
  5. Go to Items tab.
  6. Select Container line.
  7. Click Menu insert > Freight Unit using ID.
  8. Inform Freight Unit number.
  9. Click Ok button.
  10. Confirm Freight Unit assigned into Container
  11. Click General Data Tab > Fill out "Voyage" and "Vessel" fields.
  12. Select Items section > Item Hierarchy > select Container Line > Fill out Container Number field.
  13. Click Menu Subcontracting > Set to Confirmed by Carrier.
  14. Save document.
  15. Click Menu Execution Status > Set to Ready for Transportation Execution.
