3801088 - Inconsistent Numbering Group generation and availability of the 'Define Numbering Groups' configuration for certain countries - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• In configuration ID 104766 (Assign Numbering Group to Numbering Class), an already existing numbering group—which was assigned to a specific company code and numbering class combination—is continuously generated for new entries created with a different company code and numbering class combination.
• Records created in configuration ID 104766 cannot be deleted.
• Configuration ID 104407 (Define Numbering Groups) is unavailable for certain countries.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a new entry in configuration ID 104766 – Assign Numbering Group to Numbering Class.

2. Enter the first company code and numbering class.

3. Save the record and check the generated numbering group.

4. Go to the next entry to create a line for the second company code with the same numbering class.

5. After saving, the numbering group assigned to the second company code is the one that was already assigned to the first company code.

6. The deletion function is disabled for the configuration ID 104766.

7. Due to that duplicate numbering group assignment, configuration ID 104407 (Define Numbering Groups) is being considered to manually create and assign the numbering group; however, this configuration is not available for Argentina.

• The numbering group logic in configuration ID 104766 only generates a new unique value after exiting and re-entering. During the same session, newly saved entries are buffered, preventing the system from identifying them to generate a higher numbering group. Once exited, the system can check the highest existing group and create the next sequential one.
• Deletion configuration ID 104766 is disabled by design. Access SAP Signavio Process Navigator, select the latest version, and choose the correct country. From Accelerators > Implementation, download the Configuration Apps, search for the related configuration, and check the Delete Customer Records column to see if the deletion function is allowed.

• Configuration ID 104407 (Define Numbering Groups) is unavailable for Argentina. Public Cloud configuration availability depends on delivered content— and configuration ID 104407 currently limited to Thailand (TH) and Venezuela (VE). Review the Configuration Apps file from SAP Signavio Process Navigator to verify country-specific availability.
