3801093 - Career Site Google map component displays Lake America instead of Lake Ontario - Recruiting Marketing Management

• The Google Maps component on the RMK jobs map displays "Lake America" instead of the expected "Lake Ontario" for all regions.
• The behavior occurs on both UDM and legacy non-UDM career sites, even when the locale is explicitly set to en_CA or fr_CA.
• When connecting via a Canadian gateway, Google Maps directly shows "Lake Ontario", while the SAP RMK component shows "Lake America".

1. Open the external career site that uses the RMK Google Maps component.
2. Select or open the Google Maps component on the site.
3. Observe that the map label shows "Lake America" instead of the expected "Lake Ontario" (the area previously labeled as "Lake Ontario" now appears as "Lake America").

The engineer is well aware of this issue.The solution of this issue is currently under investigation. Please follow this KBA for updates.

WORKAROUND : 

Workaround as for now here is to avoid showing "Lake America" in site at all costs, one can disable Google Map in Search Results so that only the List view is shown. 

UDM customers can also add the separate Google Map Component to other pages (home, content, category) and by setting the Region Code to 'CA' they can force the map to always show "Lake Ontario" even for users in the US 

Steps to disable Google Map in Search Results:

1. Go to Layouts > Search Results > Settings
2. Set the field "Enable Google Job Map" to 'No'
3. Click 'Save'

Steps to force Google Map Component to always show "Lake Ontario" no matter a user's location:

1. Add or navigate to an existing Google Map Component on a particular page
2. Click into the Google Map Component
3. On the Details section, go to the "Region Code" setting* and change it to 'CA'
4. Click 'Publish'
