The initial synchronization of SAP Service and Asset Manager fails in the production environment with the following error: Metering service is required for application SAP_SERVICE_ASSET_MANAGER_<version>.
The error persists even though /MFND/CORE_CLOUD_METRICS_PROG was executed in transaction SE38 and the execution log indicated that the report completed successfully.
