3801226 - Display Changes does not log deletions for communication systems or communication arrangements (communication users only) – S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • Display Changes shows deletion events for Communication Users.
  • Display Changes does not show deletion events for Communication Systems.
  • Display Changes does not show deletion events for Communication Arrangements.

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Maintain Communication Users app and select a communication user that was deleted.
  2. Choose Display Changes and verify that a deletion entry is present for the user.
  3. Open the Communication Systems app and verify that the corresponding communication system was deleted; choose Display Changes and note there is no deletion record.
  4. Open the Communication Arrangements app; choose Display Changes for related arrangements and note there are no deletion entries.

Cause

This is the current expected system behavior: change documents for Communication Systems and Communication Arrangements do not log deletions.

Resolution

  1. Note that deletion events for Communication Systems and Communication Arrangements are not recorded in Display Changes by design at this time.
  2. If deletion logging is required, submit a feature request via Customer Influence: refer to: Customer Influence.
  3. For guidance on submitting a request, refer to: 2963059 - How to Submit Feature Requests for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
  4. There is currently no supported workaround to display deletion events for these objects.
