3801229 - Error: HOUR_OF_DAY: 2 -> 3 in CamelJDBCAdapter with MySQL - SAP HANA Smart Data Integration

Symptom

  • Data load or query from a MySQL remote source via CamelJDBCAdapter fails with:
    • com.sap.hana.dp.adapter.sdk.AdapterException: Camel execution failed. Reason: Cannot process result
  • In the DP Agent framework.trc log, the following errors are present:
    • Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: HOUR_OF_DAY: 2 -> 3
    • Caused by: com.mysql.cj.exceptions.WrongArgumentException: HOUR_OF_DAY: 2 -> 3
    • Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: HOUR_OF_DAY: 2 -> 3
          (...)at java.util.GregorianCalendar.computeTime(...)
  • The failure occurs on or shortly after a daylight saving time (DST) spring-forward transition date.
