3801281 - Joule cannot identify model information of Data Analyzer, when it is launched from data analyzer in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

When joule is opened within a story, it can identify model information
When joule is used from data analyzer, it cannot identify the model information
No specific error message is shown

Reproducing the Issue

Open a view in Data Analyzer.
Start joule and ask a question related to the data analyzer model.
Observe that joule does not identify or use the intended model information.

Cause

Data Analyzer is treated as an “outside a story” context for joule. In this context, joule only works with models that are indexed and enabled in the Just Ask “Manage models” settings; non-indexed or disabled models are not identified.

If you don't have a story open, and are accessing Joule from any other area of the UI, Joule will work with data from models that are indexed by the just ask feature of SAP Analytics Cloud. This means that the model administrator for just ask in the SAP Analytics Cloud tenant determines what models, and therefore data, are available to Joule once the analytical insights capability is enabled.

If you have a story open, Joule will search the data used by the models in the story, with a few exceptions:

In View mode, only models currently loaded in the story are searched.
Models disabled in the Manage models section of the just ask feature will not be searched. For more information, see Manage Just Ask.
