Symptom

  • Goal entities missing in Odata API Dictionary for newly created/updated goal plan.
  • Corresponding fields are displayed correctly in the goal UI, but OData queries return no data. The query fails.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Integration Center

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a goal plan template or update fields in the goal plan template
  2. Verify in OData API Dictionary that entities for some fields are missing.
  3. Run an OData API query for the affected fields and observe that no data is returned even though data is maintained in the goal UI.

Cause

OData API metadata cache was stale.

Resolution

  1. Go to Admin Center and open “OData API Metadata Refresh and Export”.
  2. Run a metadata Refresh for the OData API.
  3. After the refresh completes, reopen the OData API Dictionary and verify that the affected entities are appearing.
  4. Re-run the OData API query to confirm data is now returned.
