3801448 - Default value "ALV" is not automatically populated in Scope of List field in Purchasing Documents per Supplier app

Symptom

In the Purchasing Documents per Supplier app (ME2L), users want to set ALV as the default value for the Scope of List field.

Although a variant can be saved with Scope of List = ALV, the value is not automatically applied when the app is launched.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Purchasing Documents per Supplier app.
  2. Enter ALV in the Scope of List field.
  3. Save the selection as a variant.
  4. Launch the app again.
  5. Observe that ALV is not automatically populated.

Cause

The app does not support automatically applying a saved variant as the default at application startup.

Resolution

This is standard system behavior.

Users can save a variant with Scope of List = ALV and select it manually. Automatic defaulting of ALV is not supported by standard configuration.
