3801518 - CJR2 excel upload not working

Symptom

When uploading planning data in transaction CJR2 via: Extras → Excel Planning → Upload

the file is imported, but the upload fails with the following messages:
Enter a numeric value -> Message No. 00052
 and 
Error occurred when generating data for the planning processor ->  Message No. K9400

The application log may show that the file was successfully imported with the selected file description before the errors occur.

No ABAP short dump is generated.
