3801641 - Error "planning view contains data incompatible with .net desktop runtime 10" after upgrading the IBP excel add-in

Symptom

  • After installing the IBP Excel add-in 2608 together with .NET Desktop Runtime 10, an error appears when opening planning view templates.
  • Error message: "The planning view contains data incompatible with .NET Desktop Runtime 10 or newer. You can still open the planning view, but some settings can't be retrieved:..."
  • A warning to update templates and favorites appears at login and the user selects Yes to update, but the error persists when opening templates.
  • The template still opens, but the warning is repeatedly displayed when any template is opened.
