3801679 - ESI - Error messages such as "Application error", "System error" won't get deleted in the system

Symptom

  • In transaction SRT_MONI, messages with statuses such as "ERROR", "Application Error", "System Error", and "Forwarded" remain for extended periods, whereas "Delivered" messages expire after the configured WS retention period (for example, 42 days in SRT_UTIL).
