3801695 - Duplicate Entries for Purchase Contract in Manage Purchase Contracts App

While searching with a Purchasing Contract number at Manage Purchase Contracts app it is possible to see a duplicate entries (two or more entries shown for the same contract number).

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Manage Purchase Contracts app.
2. Search for the relevant purchase contract number.
3. Observe that two or more entries are listed for the same contract.

The CDS view C_CONTRACTMAINTAIN uses ACTIVEPURCHASINGDOCUMENT as the key when version management is active in system, meaning that entries are keyed by the Active Purchasing Document rather than the Purchasing Contract Number, so more than one row can display for the same Contract number.
When the Version Management is active this is expected system behavior.

This behavior is by design, the use of ACTIVEPURCHASINGDOCUMENT as the CDS key reflects the version management data model and can result in multiple entries for the same contract number in the app.
