3801793 - COHV - "Clear Open Reservations" flag is always set during mass confirmation in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

You use transaction COHV (Mass Processing of Production Orders) to enter mass confirmations for production order operations.

When executing the confirmation, the "Clear Open Reservations" flag is always set (checked).

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open COHV app for mass processing of production order operations.
2. Run a mass confirmation for selected operations.
3. Observe that the "clear reservation" checkbox is preselected for each line.

This is standard system behavior in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

When confirmations are entered via COHV mass processing app, the system does not read the plant- and order-type-specific confirmation parameters from Activity 'Define Confirmation Parameters'. Those settings govern only the following dialog confirmation apps: Confirm Production Order Operation (CO11N), Confirm Production Order / Enter Production order Confirmation (CO15), Confirm Process Order (CORK), Confirm Process Order Phase (COR6N).

In mass processing, the system applies Automatic Final Confirmation logic and automatically sets the Clear Open Reservations flag, regardless of the customizing entries maintained for the plant and order type combination.

There is currently no configuration option in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition to prevent COHV from automatically setting the Clear Open Reservations flag as part of standard mass processing behavior. The available workaround is to manually deselect at execution time.
