Symptom
- In Executive Review, a custom text column (for example, "Justification") shows different auto width between users with edit access and users with read-only access.
- With edit access, the full text is visible to facilitate data entry; with read-only access, the column renders differently and the text display/width changes, especially when the worksheet is in the Completed step.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
Reproducing the Issue
- Ensure compensation worksheets are launched and at the Completed step.
- In Compensation, open Executive Review for the relevant compensation plan.
- Access as a user with edit permission for the text column (for example, "Justification") and observe the column width and text display.
- Access as a user with read-only permission for the same column and observe the column displays differently (auto width/text visibility differs from the editable view).
Cause
- This is expected system behavior by design: Executive Review renders text columns differently based on the user's permission (edit versus read-only).
Resolution
- This behavior is by design and no change is required.
