3802099 - Groovy HMAC SHA-256 script fails with module access error to sun.security.util when using javax.crypto.Mac - SAP Integration Suite

Symptom

  • Creating an HMAC SHA-256 signature with a Groovy script in an Integration Flow fails.
  • Error: class javax.crypto.Mac (in unnamed module @0x52c3acdf) cannot access class sun.security.util.Debug (in module java.base) because module java.base does not export sun.security.util to unnamed module @0x52c3acdf
  • The error occurs in both simulation and runtime (HTTPS) execution.
  • The same script works in a local GroovyConsole.
  • The issue is observed when calling Mac.getInstance("HmacSHA256") in the script step.
