3802404 - Search Does Not Return Names With Special Characters When These Are Entered Without Accents

When searching for names that contain special characters, or accents, the system does not return the expected results if the search term is entered without the special character.

SAP Sales and Service Cloud V2

1. Search for a name that contains a special character/accent, but enter the search term without the special character.
2. Example: Search for "Joao", hoping to get João's contact. 
3. Check and see that the system returns no contact.

As for now, this is designed to accommodate different regions and languages globally. Nevertheless it is possible to access Influence Portal and suggest an improvement in this scenario if this can be changed in order to best serve specific business purposes.
