3802435 - Create Purchase Order – Advanced App Closes Automatically After Saving a Purchase Order

When a Purchase Order is saved in the Create Purchase Order – Advanced app (launched from the Process Purchase Requisition app), the app window closes automatically upon saving.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Create Purchase Requisition app and select one or more Purchase Requisitions.
2. Convert the selected Purchase Requisitions to a Purchase Order using the Create Purchase Order button.
3. System will open the Create Purchase Order – Advanced app.
4. Save the Purchase Order.

Observe that a message is displayed saying: "created under number XXX" and the only options are Exit or Help, it is not possible to edit the newly created document.

This is standard system behavior of the Create Purchase Order – Advanced app.

Save the Purchase Order in the Create Purchase Order – Advanced app and note the Purchase Order number shown in the success message, then after that open the Display Purchase Orders - Advanced (ME23N) or Manage Purchase Orders and search for the document number.
