3802453 - CPF: System Errors When a One-Active-Formula Usage Contains Multiple Active Formulas - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When a CPF usage that only allows one active formula (e.g., BBI, BOC) contains more than one active formula, users will encounter system errors in the business process. 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create one active formula for CPF usage BOC in DEV system and import into TEST system. 

  2. Go to DEV system, set the formula to inactive → save in Request 1. 

  3. Create another active formula → save in Request 2. 

  4. Release and import only Request 2 to TEST system. 

  5. Check CPF usage BOC in TEST system: it now shows two active formulas → users cannot navigate to other nodes in the Dialog Structure. 

Cause

CPF formula changes were split across multiple customizing requests, but only the request (containing the new active formula) was imported into the target system. The other request, which set the originally active formula to inactive was not imported yet. 

Resolution

Consolidate all changes to a single CPF formula into one customizing request.
