3802503 - Custom date field inconsistent formatting in custom workflow notifications while using Reference + Pending data mapping

Custom Date fields configured in MDF objects are inconsistently formatted when the field is mapped to a workflow notification using Reference + Pending data mapping.

SAP Successfactors Employee Central - Document Generation

1. Configure a custom MDF object with a custom date field and attach a workflow and a custom email notification.
2. In Manage Document Template Mappings, map the email token for the field using “Reference + Pending Data”.
3. Enter a date value and submit the workflow to send the notification.
4. Observe that the workflow email formats the date field as "yyyy-mm-dd".
5. Note: When the same field is mapped using Direct mapping, the formatting issue does not occur.

A product defect caused Inconsistent date formatting for custom date fields of MDF objects when the placeholder is mapped to Reference - Pending Data.

1. The fix for this issue is to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
