Symptom

The credit control area field cannot be set as mandatory via field status group configuration in the following apps:

  • Post Outgoing Payments
  • Post Incoming Payments
  • Clear Outgoing Payments
  • Clear Incoming Payments

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  • Go to manual payment apps like Clear Incoming Payments
  • Switch to post on account tab

Cause

Setting credit control area as mandatory through field status group configuration is not supported by standard product design.

Resolution

No standard configuration approach can make the credit control area field mandatory for the given general ledger account. Submit an enhancement request via the Customer Influence portal if this functionality is required for business operations.
