3802674 - Migration Cockpit error FAA_UO10 during load of usage objects (Fixed asset - Usage object) - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

During Fixed Asset - Usage object migration the following error messages appear:

  • Migration Cockpit returns error FAA_UO10 when loading/utilizing the Fixed asset - Usage object migration object.
  • Error text indicates that a period interval is not covered by a single total interval in a depreciation area.
  • Additional messages appear: DMC_RT_MSG 188 and DMC_RT_MSG 222 stating that records cannot be posted due to previous messages.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Migration Cockpit, select the migration object Fixed asset - Usage object.
  2. Upload and simulate data for usage objects that contain overlapping time intervals within the same depreciation area.
  3. Run Simulate Data; the system returns FAA_UO10 and related DMC_RT_MSG messages.

Cause

Overlapping time intervals were provided for usage objects within the same depreciation area, which is not allowed. This leads to a period interval not being covered by a single total interval and triggers FAA_UO10.

Resolution

  1. Open the upload file for the migration object Fixed asset - Usage object and review all time intervals.
  2. For usage object total units, ensure that within the same depreciation area, time intervals do not overlap. Overlapping time intervals in different depreciation areas are allowed. Intervals do not need to be consecutive.
  3. For usage object period units, ensure time intervals do not overlap. Intervals do not need to be consecutive.
  4. Correct any overlapping or misaligned intervals so every period interval is fully covered by one single total interval in the same depreciation area.
  5. Re-upload the adjusted file, run Simulate Data again, and then execute the migration.
