3802680 - One-Time Payment missing in All Actions for managers in Latest People Profile

Symptom

  • In Latest People Profile, the All Actions menu on a manager’s view of a direct report does not display the One-Time Payment/Spot Bonus entry.
  • The manager holds User Permissions > Employee Data > HR Information > One-Time Payment (Edit), yet the option to initiate a one-time payment via All Actions is absent.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Proxy as a manager user.
  2. Navigate to the direct report’s People Profile.
  3. Open All Actions (Take Action).
  4. Observe that the One-Time Payment/Spot Bonus entry is missing.

Cause

Missing permission: Employee Data > HR Actions > Update Employment Records (displayed as “Take Action” button) not granted to the manager’s role.

Resolution

In order to display the action via the 'All Actions' button, it's necessary to grant the permission.

  1. Go to Manage Permission Roles.
  2. Edit the role assigned to managers.
  3. Navigate to Permission settings > Employee Data > HR Actions and grant View for Update Employment Records (displayed as “Take Action”).
  4. Save the changes and ensure the role is correctly assigned to the manager user(s).
  5. Log out and log in (or re-proxy) and re-test: open the direct report’s People Profile > All Actions; the One-Time Payment/Spot Bonus entry should appear.
  6. Confirm the manager also has Employee Data > HR Information > One-Time Payment (Edit), as required to initiate via All Actions.
