3802802 - Mobile approval of time off workflows shows raw code instead of details — SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off

Symptom

  • Manager can't approve the workflow via the mobile app.
  • When navigating to Browse > View Pending Workflow > My Requests For Approval and opening a leave request, the app displays a list of raw code/JSON instead of the expected request details.
  • The raw content includes fields such as "timeCalendar.timeAccountDetail" and related key-value pairs.
  • The behavior started after enabling the latest people profile and homepage.

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Go to Browse > View Pending Workflow > My Requests For Approval.
  3. Open a leave request awaiting approval.
  4. Observe that raw code/JSON is shown instead of formatted approval details.

Cause

This is a Known Issue.

A mobile app display issue causes the approval details to render raw JSON for time account information (for example, timeCalendar.timeAccountDetail) instead of formatted content. Engineering identified the root cause and confirmed a fix is required in the mobile app.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on the next mobile release (planned for around September 22).

Workaround

Until the fix is available and installed, use the web application to review and approve the workflows.
