3802905 - The 'Default Appearance' is tab missing under 'System -> Administration' location - SAP Datasphere

• When viewing the 'What's New in SAP Datasphere' for 'Aug 11, 2026 there is reference to the 'System Information' changing from the 'Configuration -> System Information' location to the 'System -> Administration -> Default Appearance' location.
• However even after the Datasphere version was updated to a higher version (currently 2026.18.x) the 'System Information' is still seen at the 'Configuration -> System Information' location.

• Product: SAP Datasphere

1. Log in with a role that includes Data Warehouse General (read) and System Information (read and update) authorizations.
2. Navigate to System -> Administration.
3. Observe that the Default Appearance tab is missing.
4. Navigate to Configuration -> System Information and observe that the settings are still available there.

• This behavior occurs since the feature related to the 'System Location' is managed by the version of the Platform and not the Datasphere version.
  • Refer to the KBA '2992349 - SAP Datasphere Wave Information' which explains that some features are actually provided by the Platform version instead of the Datasphere version.
  • Example: Platform Version - version of the "SAC as platform" components used in SAP Datasphere, such as Content Network, User Management, OAuth Client creation, among others.

• Once the Platform version is updated to the 2026.17.# or higher release, at that time the 'System Information' settings would then change to be available at the new 'System -> Administration -> Default Appearance' location.
• Refer to the KBA '2984828 - SAP Datasphere Release & Delivery Schedule' for the planned release of wave updates for both Datasphere and Platform versions.
