Symptom
- In Account Navigation > Settings > Change Language, the Save button is greyed out and the language change cannot be saved even if switching to any available languages.
- The issue occurs when attempting to change the interface language from the language settings screen.
- The behavior is reported for specific user(s).
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to the system.
- Navigate to Account Navigation > Settings > Change Language.
- Select a different language.
- Observe that the Save button is greyed out and cannot be clicked.
Cause
The affected user’s Default Locale contained an invalid language code (for example, “jp_JP” instead of the valid “ja_JP”), which prevented saving changes on the language settings screen.
Resolution
- Identify impacted users whose Default Locale is set to an invalid or unsupported code.
- Update the Default Locale to the valid language code (for example, change “jp_JP” to “ja_JP”) using Basic Import.
- After the update, have the user navigate to Account Navigation > Settings > Change Language, select the desired language, and confirm that the Save button is enabled and the change can be saved.
- Repeat the update for any other users with the same invalid Default Locale value.
