Symptom
During payroll processing, a public holiday that falls within a continuous sick leave period is not considered as an absence day for sick leave valuation.
As a result, the sick leave deduction or valuation may be lower than expected.
For example:
- An employee has a continuous sick leave period that includes a public holiday.
- The corresponding sick leave valuation rule is correctly assigned.
- The expected number of sick leave days is higher than the number actually considered during payroll.
- The public holiday within the absence period is excluded from the calculation.
- Function PAB does not process the day as an absence day.
In the payroll internal table AB, the entry corresponding to the public holiday can be identified by:
AB-ABRTG = 0.00
Therefore, the day is not considered by function PAB when determining the relevant absence days.
