Symptom
- Incorrect or missing data updates in the local table when loading from a BW/4HANA aDSO via ABAP ODP Replication Flow
- The local table view does not reflect the BW aDSO view
- For reporting, active data of the aDSO is expected, but the target shows change log-like data
Environment
- Product: SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
- Data Intelligence - ABAP Integration
Reproducing the Issue
- Delete data in the BW aDSO.
- Delete data in the local table in Datasphere.
- Load initial data into the BW aDSO.
- Run the Replication Flow in Datasphere.
- Compare initial data between BW and Datasphere.
- Load delta data into the BW aDSO.
- Wait for the Replication Flow delta replication to complete.
- Compare delta data between BW and Datasphere.
Cause
- The ODP source container was not represented in a flat form (for example, reported as /ODP_BW/ instead of /ODP_BW). Because of this, the delta opcode correction in the Replication Flow merge did not apply, leading to incorrect handling of before/after images and resulting in wrong or missing updates in the local table.
Resolution
- In the ABAP source system, implement SAP Note 3596322 to enable a flat representation of ODP objects so the container is reported as /ODP_BW.
- Restart the Replication Flow to ensure a new ODP subscription is created with the corrected container representation.
- Re-run the initial and delta loads and verify that the local table now reflects the active data of the aDSO.
- If delta scheduling shows waiting or RT behavior, additionally ensure SAP Note 3701843 is implemented (disables the Real-Time flag for ODP subscriptions) and recreate the subscription.
- As prerequisites and stability improvements, ensure relevant ABAP integration notes are implemented per Note Analyzer guidance, including SAP Note 3691739 and SAP Note 3750620 where applicable.
