3803345 - Reservation filter missing in Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app(F6498)

Symptom

In the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app (new version of Run Outbound Process), the “Reservation Order” filter is not available.
Users request guidance on the workflow in the new app: how to create a warehouse task manually and how to confirm a warehouse task manually.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders (F6498) app.
  2. Open the filter bar (Adapt Filters) and search for “Reservation Order”; the filter is not available.

Cause

Current system design.

The app is designed around EWM core objects; legacy ERP-side fields (for example, MM/PP reservation numbers) are not active as default header-level filters.

Resolution

To Include the Reservation Order in Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app, utilize any of the below resolutions.

Solution 1: Use "Predecessor Document" Filters
Instead of looking for a field named "Reservation Order", the new architecture groups ERP-side reference documents (such as Sales Orders, Production Orders, or Material Reservations) under general predecessor document fields.
  1. Open the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app.
  2. Click Adapt Filters on the top-right corner of the filter bar.
  3. Search for and check the boxes to activate:
    - Predecessor Document Type (or Reference Document Type)
    - Predecessor Document (or Reference Document Number)
  4. In the Predecessor Document Type filter, select or type the document category for Reservations.
  5. In the Predecessor Document field, your users can paste their Reservation numbers directly.

Note: Once configured, click the layout dropdown next to the "Go" button and save this view as a Public Variant (e.g., named "Warehouse Reservations") so the entire warehouse team has this filter visible by default.

Solution 2: If the above is insufficient, use Key User Extensibility - Rename the Filter via Custom UI Adaptation

If the warehouse team explicitly needs the filter to read "Reservation Order" to avoid confusion, Key User/System Administrator can change the UI label without writing any custom code:
  1. Log into the SAP Fiori Launchpad with administrative/key user roles.
  2. Open the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app.
  3. Click on your user profile icon (top right) and select Adapt UI.
  4. Right-click on the standard Predecessor Document filter field and choose Rename.
  5. Input "Reservation Order" as the new label.
  6. Save and publish the change. This instantly unifies terminology for the warehouse team, providing the exact user experience they are requesting without affecting underlying system performance

  3. In Items, select the item to be picked.
  4. Choose Related Apps (or “...” if condensed) and select Create Warehouse Task.
  5. To allocate stock, either enter a source bin in Default Values and add a new item under Warehouse Task, or go to Stock Can Be Removed, select the desired stock line, and maintain the quantity as needed.
  6. Choose Create to generate the warehouse task.
  7. In the item detail view, locate the Warehouse Tasks section and select the open task.
