3803408 - CAT2 - Intermittent Failure to Update IT2001 / IT2006 When Using "Immediate Transfer to HR" in CATS

Symptom

When recording absences in transaction CAT2 using the "Immediate Transfer to HR" option, updates to HR infotypes are inconsistent:

  • Some entries are correctly reflected in IT2001 (Absences) and trigger quota deductions in IT2006 (Absence Quotas).
  • Other entries appear saved in CATSDB with status 30 but do not update IT2001 or deduct from IT2006.
  • No error message is displayed in CAT2 when the transfer fails.
  • Running the same absence via PA30 works correctly, confirming the configuration is not at fault.
  • The transfer report CAT6 may show errors or pinpoint the failed records.
