Symptom

  • An authentication popup appears when accessing SAP Fiori Launchpad with SAP Companion (formerly Web Assistant) enabled.
  • The popup persists after adding the newWindowSAML=true parameter to the WEB_ASSISTANT_HELP_PLUGIN configuration.
  • A blocked popup notification is visible in the browser address bar.
  • Issue is observed in both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
