Symptom

Oracle Database SAP Bundle Patch (SBP) application fails during the binary patching phase (MOPatch / OPatch).

Symptoms include:

MOPatch exits with errors or

Overall Status INCOMPLETE;

OPatch reports conflicts or insufficient disk space;

Oracle Home left in inconsistent state; post-installation scripts fail.

Common errors:

"Cannot parse patch metadata"
"error code = 73"
"fuser: instance is running"
conflict detection
inventory errors
oradism permission denied.
