3803528 - CAP application or SDI remote source suddenly fails to connect to SAP HANA Cloud with HTTP Error 500 TimeoutError: ResourceRequest timed out

Symptom

  • A custom CAP application does not load any data when opened.
  • Backend calls consistently return HTTP 500 with error: 
    • “Failed TimeoutError: ResourceRequest timed out”
  • SDI materialization jobs have been failing \with the same error.
  • Database indexserver trace shows: “SSL handshake failed: Channel closed during handshake”.
