After modifying the depreciation start date in the asset master data via the Fiori app (Manage Fixed Assets app & Manage Legacy Assets app) or via API, the expired useful life becomes empty.

For a post-capitalization asset or legacy asset, if the Depreciation Start Date falls within an open fiscal year, the Expired Useful Life will always be 0.

If the Depreciation Start Date falls within a closed fiscal year, the Expired Useful Life can be maintained.
