3803573 - Issue when sharing default Bookmarks.

Symptom

  • When a default bookmark is shared with another user, the shared bookmark is not applied as the default for the recipient; instead, the story opens with the recipient’s previously set private default bookmark.
  • Upon opening the story, a popup prompts which bookmark to use; the shared bookmark appears as “undefined”.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.15.6

Reproducing the Issue

1. User 1 create a private bookmark for a story and set it as the default.
2. User 2 create a public (global) bookmark for the same story, and share the story with another user with the global bookmark as default.
3. Open the story; a popup prompts for which bookmark to use. The shared bookmark appears as “undefined”.
4. Select the suggested (shared) bookmark.
5. Observe that the story opens with the previously set private default bookmark instead of the shared default bookmark.

Cause
