Symptom

Routing Migration Fails in "Migrate Your Data" App with Errors CPCC_DT 206 "The Component to Be Assigned Has Not Been Completely Specified" and BAPI 001 "No instance of object type Routing has been created. External reference" when simulating the data.

Environment

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Migrate Your Data application and select the migration object Routing.
  2. Prepare and upload the routing staging template.
  3. Run Simulate.
  4. Observe errors CPCC_DT 206 and BAPI 001.

Cause

Incorrect Item IDs are maintained for components in the migration XML template, resulting in an incomplete component assignment during routing migration.

Resolution

Maintain the correct Item IDs for the components in the Component tab of the migration XML template, ensuring that they match the Item IDs defined in the Display Bill of Material (CS03) application. Then, upload the corrected XML template and rerun the simulation to proceed with the migration successfully.
