Symptom

  • When enabling HANA System Replication, the following error appears: "Connection refused: Primary needs initial data backup for system replication!"
  • On the secondary, connection attempts report: "Backup has not yet been executed on primary system! Please backup primary system."
  • A complete data back up has already been executed on primary system.
